The following questions represent the Academy most important unresolved inquiries. They are not rhetorical. They are genuine gaps. The absence of an answer is itself part of the Working Discipline.
Homeric Questions
1. Can Athena interventions be interpreted as redirecting attention?
The research hypothesis proposes that Athena represents a function of discernment and strategic intelligence. But does the Odyssey actually depict Athena redirecting Odysseus attention, or is this a projection? If Athena redirects attention in the text, the hypothesis has a textual anchor. If she does not, the hypothesis is speculative.

2. What is the precise relationship between Eros and Attention Coupling?
The research note proposes that Eros represents the force that draws attention toward certain possibilities. But Eros in Homer is not a cognitive function. The Academy interpretation of Eros as attraction is a philosophical reading, not a Homeric fact.

3. Why does attention choose these nodes rather than those?
The Attention Coupling model describes how attention couples separate elements into relationship. It does not explain why attention is drawn toward particular configurations rather than others. The filtering function names the mechanism but does not explain its directionality.

4. Is the vanishing year a failure of Kairos or its absence?
In Book 10, the vanishing year is a period during which Odysseus makes no progress. Does the vanishing year represent a missed Kairos or the absence of Kairos? The distinction affects how we understand the relationship between time and attention.

5. What is the ontological status of the latent field?
The latent field is described as the deeper pattern that attention couples to. But is this field a real feature of cognition, a metaphor for tacit knowledge, a philosophical posit, or a Homeric image? The answer determines whether the Attention Coupling model is a theory of mind or a way of reading poetry.

6. Does Bayesian updating adequately model belief revision in the Odyssey?
The research note draws an analogy between attention role in selecting evidence and Bayesian belief updating. But Homeric characters do not update beliefs in proportion to evidence. Is the Bayesian model a useful approximation, or does the Odyssey depict a fundamentally different kind of cognitive change?

Unresolved Structural Questions
The Master Sequence Discrepancy
Two sequences exist in the Academy working model: Sequence A (Possibility, Attention, Coupling, Synthesis, Emergence, Creation) and a functional sequence from the research note (Eros, Athena, Attention, Synthesis, Emergence). These have not been reconciled. See Open Problems.
Misfiled Material
Book 11 material appears in the Filtering Function file. Book 12 Configurations appear in the Attention Coupling file. These are documented as misfiled in the concept map. The question of where they belong remains open.
